Hyderabad: The Telangana government ordered ULC application regularisation for all eligible cases under established rules on Sunday. The move aims to clear Urban Land Ceiling applications that have remained pending for decades.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the government had initiated measures to process eligible applications. He noted that the previous administration issued a Government Order on ULC lands in 2016, but officials never implemented it.
Meanwhile, the minister said the state was systematically addressing pending land prohibition issues under Section 22-A of the Registration Act. The government has already implemented three major policy decisions to address grievances linked to Section 22-A.
Orders have also been issued in accordance with GO 118 and GO 76, according to the minister. These measures form part of the government’s efforts to resolve pending land-related issues through established procedures.
ULC application regularisation and Section 22-A issues
Additionally, the government has cleared registrations for houses, plots and flats with valid permissions. The properties can now be registered despite their status under Section 22-A, according to the statement.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the government was also processing remaining land-related encumbrances on a fast-track basis. The minister assured that officials would continue addressing pending cases under the applicable rules.
The latest ULC application regularisation measures cover eligible cases, while separate steps address Section 22-A registration grievances. The government said these actions were part of its broader effort to resolve longstanding land-related issues.
