Two ganja peddlers arrested in Hyderabad, 18 kg seized

Hyderabad: Domalguda police on Tuesday arrested two ganja peddlers and seized 18 kilograms of dry ganja worth ₹4.5 lakh from their possession. The accused were intercepted near Liberty T Junction while attempting to transport the narcotic substance to Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

Based on credible information, police apprehended Komal Sominath Pvar (23) and Sahil Mahesh Salunke (18), both residents of Bhima Shakti Nagar, Aurangabad. Officers found them carrying travel bags containing the contraband outside Suraj Tours and Travels in Ambedkar Colony.

Police said the duo had procured the ganja from a person named Babu, a resident of Vijayawada, who remains absconding. The accused were en route to Aurangabad to sell the ganja at a higher price.

Two mobile phones used by the suspects were also seized. Investigators are now working to trace the supply chain and apprehend the absconding supplier.

The arrests were made under the supervision of DCP Central Zone K. Shilpavalli, IPS, with support from Addl DCP B. Anand, ACP A. Yadagiri, Inspector D. Srinivas Reddy, and other Domalguda police personnel.
