Telangana offers support for Maharashtra’s submergence survey

During the Tummidihatti barrage talks review, Revanth Reddy said Telangana would not object if Maharashtra conducted an independent survey. The proposed survey would assess the extent of potential submergence in Maharashtra arising from the barrage’s construction.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed officials to promptly provide any information the Maharashtra government requested. He stressed that coordination between the two States should continue while officials examined the project’s technical and land-related requirements.

Revanth Reddy also offered suggestions to irrigation officials based on recent discussions with Maharashtra and other related developments. The review focused on advancing inter-state consultations, addressing possible submergence and facilitating the proposed barrage.
