Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police have advised early logout for IT firms and other organisations amid a forecast of moderate to heavy rainfall from November 3 to 5, 2026. The advisory recommended staggered employee departures beginning at 2 PM, preferably completing the process by 4 PM.
Police issued the advisory to reduce traffic congestion, protect employees travelling during rainfall and ensure uninterrupted movement of emergency services. The department also asked companies to consider work-from-home (WFH) arrangements during the three-day period as an alternative to office attendance.
Police recommend early logout for IT firms
Cyberabad Police urged IT companies and other organisations to stagger employee departures rather than allowing large numbers of workers to leave simultaneously. Under the advisory, companies should begin releasing employees from 2 PM and preferably complete the process by 4 PM.
The recommendation covers November 3, 4 and 5, when weather forecasts indicate moderate to heavy rainfall. According to police, staggered departures would help reduce pressure on roads during periods of rain. Additionally, the arrangement would support employee safety and allow emergency vehicles to move without unnecessary traffic delays.
Work-from-home option for three days
Apart from recommending early logout for IT firms, Cyberabad Police advised organisations to consider work-from-home arrangements throughout the three-day rainfall period. The advisory offered companies the option of allowing employees to work remotely instead of travelling to their offices.
Meanwhile, police requested organisations to share their office locations and proposed employee logout schedules through email. Companies can send the information to [cybtrcc@gmail.com] to help the police coordinate traffic management arrangements.
The department sought these details to plan vehicle movement and reduce possible congestion during the anticipated rainfall. The advisory applies to IT companies and other organisations operating within Cyberabad during the November 3–5 forecast period.
