TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh Patil climbs power pole during safety inspection

Hyderabad: TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil personally climbed an electricity pole at Malkaram village to review safety practices followed by field personnel. The TGSPDCL safety inspection was conducted under the utility’s “Basti Bata” programme in Chevella Section.

Patil went into the field to assess the working conditions and challenges faced by electricity employees. He also reviewed procedures followed by personnel while working on electrical poles and lines.

During the inspection, the CMD examined the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). He also reviewed safety equipment, field-level work practices and precautionary measures.

TGSPDCL safety inspection focuses on PPE compliance

Patil stressed that employee safety should remain the highest priority during every field operation. He directed personnel to strictly follow prescribed safety procedures. The CMD said there could be no compromise on employee safety. Therefore, he instructed field staff to use the prescribed PPE without exception while carrying out their duties.

The TGSPDCL safety inspection also focused on understanding the practical challenges employees face while working on electricity infrastructure. By personally participating in the field inspection, Patil sought to emphasise the importance the management places on worker safety and adherence to established protocols.

CMD reviews field practices under Basti Bata

The inspection formed part of the Basti Bata programme at Malkaram village under Chevella Section. Patil’s field visit was aimed at going beyond an office-level assessment and directly examining safety practices at the worksite.

TGSPDCL said the CMD’s participation demonstrated a hands-on approach to employee safety. The inspection also reinforced the message that safety equipment and prescribed precautions must be followed during electricity-related field operations.
