Hyderabad: The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board extended the TG Police Recruitment 2026 online application deadline until 5 pm on September 16.
The recruitment process covered 7,437 vacancies across five departments. These included Police, Special Protection Force, Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence, and Prisons and Correctional Services.
TSLPRB had issued four recruitment notifications on July 29. They covered 275 SCT SI civil and equivalent posts and 23 SCT ASI posts in the Finger Print Bureau.
In addition, the notifications included 7,112 SCT police constable civil and equivalent posts. Another 27 vacancies were for SCT police constable mechanic and driver posts.
TG Police Recruitment 2026 registrations cross 3.38 lakh
According to TSLPRB, 3,38,336 candidates had registered for the TG Police Recruitment 2026 process so far. Of them, 2,88,530 candidates had paid the application fee.
Meanwhile, 2,76,085 candidates had completed their online applications. The Board said the application figures accounted for 3,80,762 different candidates. Aadhaar verification had also been completed for more than 95 per cent of the candidates.
The recruitment process introduced several measures for the first time. These included 33.3 per cent reservation for women in all notified Special Protection Force and Fire Services posts.
Moreover, the Board implemented Group-I, Group-II and Group-III reservations among Scheduled Caste candidates for the first time in police recruitment. The process also introduced offline Aadhaar verification.
TG Police Recruitment 2026 aspirants urged to apply early
TSLPRB Chairman V.V. Srinivasa Rao had recently interacted with recruitment aspirants through two live programmes. He participated in a T-SAT programme on September 3. Subsequently, he addressed candidates through All India Radio on September 7 and responded to their queries and concerns.
The Board advised candidates who had registered or paid the fee but had not completed their applications to submit them early.
TSLPRB also cautioned candidates against waiting until the final day. Heavy online traffic could cause queuing congestion, delayed responses or failed submissions, the Board said. Candidates could submit online applications through the official TSLPRB website until 5 pm on September 16.
