Hyderabad: Women and child welfare minister Seethakka held a key review meeting at Praja Bhavan on Tuesday as part of the preparation of the Telangana Vision 2047 document. She examined women’s empowerment, economic growth, nutrition and employment, and sought clear targets for each sector.
The minister said Telangana’s female labour force participation stands at 52.7%. She set a goal to raise it to 95% by 2047. Seethakka called for a detailed strategy to expand job opportunities and encourage entrepreneurship among women. She also noted that the government’s uniform stitching initiative helped women’s groups earn more than ₹30 crore every year. After reviewing the figures, she directed officials to identify similar income avenues in private schools and hostels.
New priorities under Telangana Vision 2047
Hyderabad: Seethakka highlighted the need for universal childcare to support working women. She also pushed for stronger financial inclusion to widen access to credit. The meeting further discussed scaling up women-led enterprises across Telangana. She said the Vision 2047 plan aimed to create “crores of women millionaires” through sustained policy support and sector-specific interventions.
