Hyderabad: Telangana is rapidly positioning itself as a global tourism hub and investment destination, state tourism and culture minister Jupally Krishna Rao said on Thursday. He highlighted that the State is building world-class infrastructure to showcase its rich history, culture, and heritage.
Telangana’s tourism policy draws international interest
The Minister met with representatives of the German Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Foundation at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat. The delegation included Dr. Sabine Fandrick, Mirko Gunther, and Christoph Mohr. Discussions focused on Telangana’s new tourism policy, potential investment avenues, and sustainable tourism development.
Jupally presented the key features of the policy, which includes simplified investment procedures and attractive incentives for both domestic and international investors. He said the new framework was designed to promote ease of doing business in the tourism sector.
German collaboration eyed for sustainable tourism
The Minister noted that Telangana holds immense potential for tourism growth and expressed hope that German expertise and funding could accelerate the creation of world-class tourism infrastructure. “Our new tourism policy is highly conducive to foreign investors,” Jupally stated.
Beyond tourism, both parties also discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest.
