Hyderabad: Telangana is ready to host the Telangana Rising Global Summit, a two-day international event focused on investment and job creation. The summit begins today at Bharat Future City, with Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma scheduled to inaugurate the event at 1:30 pm.
A total of 154 international delegates from 44 countries are attending. Among them, 46 representatives are from the United States. Around 2,000 domestic and foreign guests will participate, including senior executives from global companies.
Global leaders and strategic sessions
The summit features Nobel laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Kailash Satyarthi. Also speaking are Eric Swider, CEO of Trump Media-Technology Group, Jeremy Jurgens of the World Economic Forum, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Executive Chairperson of Biocon.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will address the gathering at 2:30 pm. He will present Telangana’s governance strategy, investor-friendly policies, and the ‘Vision 2047’ plan aimed at making the state India’s Future City.
Organisers have arranged 27 panel sessions over the next two days. Officials have completed preparations for all seminar venues.
Cultural showcase and guest experiences
To promote Telangana’s strengths, the government has installed visual displays from Hyderabad airport to the summit venue. These include 3D projection mapping, LED walls, and lighting installations. The displays aim to highlight Hyderabad’s economic and cultural appeal.
Guests will enjoy a concert by music director M. M. Keeravani, followed by cultural performances. Traditional Telangana dances like Kommu Koya, Gussadi, Perini Natyam, and Bonalu will be featured.
The Tourism Department has arranged a diplomatic visit to Buddhavanam, the world’s largest Buddhist heritage park near Nagarjuna Sagar.
Culinary arrangements include Hyderabadi biryani and other regional dishes. Each guest will receive a souvenir kit. The kit includes a Pochampally Ikkat shawl, Cheryala painting, Hyderabadi attar, pearl jewellery, and a basket of Telangana snacks such as Ippa Puvvu Laddu, Sakinalu, and Badam Ki Jali.
