Hyderabad: The Telangana government is scheduled to conduct a high-level meeting this afternoon on unresolved matters pending with the Central Government. The session will begin at 2 PM at Praja Bhavan under the coordination of the state Planning Department.
Originally slated for 3 PM, the meeting was rescheduled due to time constraints, according to officials. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will lead the discussions, with Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar among the key participants.
Several Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are expected to attend. Confirmed participants include MPs D.K. Aruna Kumari, Dharmapuri Arvind, Gaddam Vamshi Krishna, Kadiyam Kavya, Godam Nagesh, Asaduddin Owaisi, Balaram Naik, Raghuveer Reddy, Etela Rajender, Raghunandan Rao, Mallu Ravi, Chamal Kiran Kumar Reddy, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Raghurama Reddy, and Suresh Shetkar.
Rajya Sabha members such as Renuka Chowdhury, Anil Kumar Yadav, Suresh Reddy, Vaddiraju Ravindra, Bandi Parthasarathi, and Damodar Rao will also join. State adviser Jitender Reddy and senior bureaucrats will take part as well.
Pending grants and AP Reorganisation promises on agenda
The agenda includes discussions on long-pending grants for backward districts, pending dues under the public distribution system, CMR arrears, and allocations under women and child welfare schemes. Issues related to irrigation approvals, stalled projects, and unfulfilled promises under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act will also be reviewed. The state is also expected to press for release of special assistance and other central grants.
Telangana Rising 2047 roadmap meeting at 4 PM
Later today at 4 PM, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will chair a separate session focused on ‘Telangana Rising 2047’. The state has directed all ministers, principal secretaries, special chief secretaries, and departmental secretaries to attend. Officials have been informed about their respective roles and instructed to complete all preparations for the event.
