Telangana government pledges ₹10,000 crore for urban growth at NAREDCO property show

Hyderabad: The 15th NAREDCO Telangana Property Show opened on Friday at the HITEX Exhibition Centre. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the Telangana government had allocated ₹10,000 crore for urban growth. He said the investment would strengthen Hyderabad’s infrastructure and drive steady progress in tourism and housing.

Vikramarka commits to infrastructure and digital reforms

While inaugurating the event with Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Vikramarka emphasised Telangana’s vast potential for real estate investment. He noted that the Congress government aimed to enhance urban living standards through systematic and inclusive growth. Moreover, he assured developers of faster building approvals and digital permission systems to remove delays.

In addition, he credited HYDRAA for protecting government lands and drainage channels. He said the agency’s vigilance helped Hyderabad grow in an organised and sustainable way. The Deputy CM further pledged uninterrupted power and water supply to residents. He also announced that the government would soon redevelop the Musi River as Gandhi Sarovar, creating a new urban landmark for the city.

Real estate fuels Telangana government urban growth

Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao described the real estate sector as a powerful engine for Telangana’s rapid growth. As a former builder, he said he felt “at home” among developers. Furthermore, he praised the sector for expanding Hyderabad and generating large-scale employment.

Rao added that the success of the recent government land auction clearly showed investors’ continued confidence in Telangana’s economy. Meanwhile, MLC Bhanu Prasad, NAREDCO President Vijay Sai Meka, General Secretary Sridhar Reddy, and National Vice-President P.S. Reddy joined the inaugural event. Several developers and promoters also participated, marking strong industry engagement.
