Hyderabad: Police have rolled out a massive security plan for the upcoming T-Rising Global Summit, to be held on December 8 and 9 at Maheshwaram and Mirkhanpet, with over 2,500 police personnel and a three-tier VIP protection system in place.
High-level coordination and multi-agency deployment
Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu, Ranga Reddy Collector Narayana Reddy, TSIIC MD Shashank, Maheshwaram DCP Narayana Reddy, and Water Works MD Ashok Reddy held a joint review meeting with members of the summit organising committee and various department officials.
The coordination meeting focused on identifying mutual support between police and organisers, including logistical planning and inter-agency cooperation.
CCTV network, traffic control, and special forces
Police will install more than 1,000 CCTV cameras across the summit venue, all linked to a central control room. These cameras will monitor every point of movement throughout the area. Around 1,000 traffic personnel will be deployed to manage vehicle flow, diversions, route maps, barricades, and parking arrangements. Traffic marshals will support orderly vehicle movement to prevent congestion or disruption.
Special security measures for VVIPs and delegates
The summit, held under the leadership of the Chief Minister, will host around 600 high-profile delegates, including global investors, corporate leaders, and industry heads. An additional 3,000 support staff are also expected.
To ensure safety, authorities have prepared three-tiered security for VIPs and international representatives. Special units including law and order police, traffic police, Special Branch, Intelligence, OCTOPUS, Greyhounds, bomb squads, dog squads, and SHE Teams will be deployed on ground.
Officials also reviewed infrastructure arrangements such as barracks, kitchens, toilets, and other support facilities for deployed personnel and participants.
Women entrepreneurs and speakers will be provided special security coverage by dedicated women police wings and SHE Teams.
