Hyderabad: Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha on Monday directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the celestial wedding of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and the ten-week-long Komuravelli Mallanna Jatara.
Celestial wedding on December 14; Jatara from January 18
The celestial wedding of Sri Mallanna is scheduled for 10:45 AM on December 14. The annual Jatara will begin on January 18, 2026, and continue until March 16. Surekha held a video conference with officials from Siddipet district to review preparations.
She stressed the need for coordination across all departments to meet the needs of devotees expected to attend in large numbers. The Minister also reviewed progress on development projects at the temple, funded by the Endowments department and other agencies.
Officials review infrastructure, facilities for devotees
Local MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Principal Secretary of Endowments Shailaja Ramaiyer, and Commissioner Harish attended the meeting. Surekha instructed teams to ensure timely completion of works and maintain sanitation, water supply, crowd management, and accommodation facilities during the Jatara.
