Hyderabad: A 19-year-old woman died by suicide in Nagole following personal issues, police said.
Police identified the woman as Aaishwarya, a resident of Nagole. She worked with an event management company.
She met a man named Anand at a function, after which they stayed in touch. Recently, Anand’s family visited her house with a marriage proposal and spoke to her relatives.
Suicide followed dispute over suspected phone conversations
Police said differences later emerged between the two. Anand reportedly suspected that Aaishwarya was speaking to someone else over the phone.
On January 5, the two had an argument. During the altercation, Aaishwarya climbed onto the water tank on the building terrace and jumped.
Family members rushed her to a hospital for treatment. She died during treatment.
Based on a complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation into the suicide.
