Srinivas Reddy warns officials during Medaram works inspection

Hyderabad: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy criticised officials for failing to handle Medaram works with clarity and discipline. He said he could not understand which officer was responsible for each task and warned that the government would remove anyone who neglected assigned duties. His remarks came during a Medaram works inspection on Friday.

Ministers Srinivas Reddy and Seethakka, along with Chief Minister’s personal secretary Srinivas Rajulu, arrived in Medaram, where tribal priests received them with traditional rituals at the Gaddelu. The team later reviewed restoration work at the temple and expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress.

Medaram works inspection reveals delays and raises new questions

Reddy examined the new stone sculptures and doubted whether the work would finish on time. He noticed the demolition of an ITDA building behind the Gaddelu and saw private houses under construction nearby. He asked officials to explain who owned those structures.

At one point, Executive Engineer Ajay grew angry and directed staff to assemble all officers immediately. Reddy then ordered round-the-clock work and told teams to complete pending tasks within the scheduled deadline. He said the government would not tolerate further delays and asked officials to maintain strict coordination.
