Hyderabad: Telangana is fast emerging as the country’s largest aerospace and defense hub, Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said on Monday.
Sridhar Babu urges Italian firms to invest in Telangana’s aerospace and defense sector
The minister met a delegation of Italian industrialists at the state Secretariat and highlighted Telangana’s investment potential. According to him, the state offers favorable conditions for the aerospace and defense sectors. He invited the visiting companies to explore opportunities in these fields.
Sridhar Babu urged investors to set up units in component manufacturing and strengthen the supply chain. He also called on companies to invest in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities, avionics, radars, and sensor systems.
Looking ahead, the minister said Telangana plans to attract new ventures in space technology, including small satellites. He added that advanced materials and composites manufacturing provide another vital growth area, and he encouraged firms to bring investments there as well.
