Hyderabad: Nirmal district police arrested six men involved in Mudhole and Tanur wine shop thefts, Additional SP Avinash Kumar said on Saturday.

He addressed a press meet at the Bhainsa SDPO office. The accused came from Tad Biloli village in Renjal mandal of Nizamabad district. According to police, the gang stole ₹2.5 lakh from a Mudhole wine shop and ₹80,000 from another in Tanur.

Police used technical clues to trace suspects

The officer said the men also carried away liquor bottles. They later sold them in belt shops across Renjal mandal. With help from technical evidence, Mudhole and Tanur SHOs identified and arrested all six suspects.

Avinash Kumar said the accused were sent to remand after questioning. He praised the work of Mudhole CI Mallesh, SI Bitla Persis, and Tanur SI Zubair.

He added that police would maintain strict checks on inter-district gangs. Such surveillance, he said, would prevent future thefts in commercial areas.
