Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited announced festive payments for permanent and contract workers ahead of Dasara. Under the Singareni workers bonus plan, eligible permanent employees will receive up to ₹1,53,913, while each contract worker will get ₹5,500.
The management decided to distribute 34% of the company’s net profits among eligible permanent workers. The bonus recognises their contribution to the company’s operations and growth. The management had already announced the profit-linked payment as a Dasara gift.
Contract workers will also receive a festive payment of ₹5,500 each. The company continued this benefit for contract employees, following the arrangement made last year. The payment extends the festive benefit beyond permanent staff to contract workers and their families.
Singareni workers bonus to reach accounts before Dasara
The management said it remained committed to workers’ welfare and acknowledged the round-the-clock work carried out in the mines. It credited their efforts with supporting the company’s development and contributing to the state’s power needs.
Singareni officials said they would deposit the bonus amounts into workers’ bank accounts before the festival. The announcement prompted celebrations across the coal-mining areas, where employees and their families welcomed the payments.
Eligible permanent workers will receive amounts of up to ₹1,53,913 under the 34% profit-sharing decision. Contract workers will receive ₹5,500 each as a separate festive payment.
