Shyama Prasad Mukherjee legacy hailed by Bandaru Dattatreya

Hyderabad: Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Monday paid tribute to Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his 125th birth anniversary and described the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee legacy as a symbol of nationalism and national unity.

Addressing a commemorative programme at Ramnagar, Dattatreya said Mukherjee’s vision of “One Nation, One Constitution” became a reality after the Abrogation of Article 370 by the government led by Narendra Modi in 2019.

Dattatreya said the Bharatiya Jana Sangh founded by Mukherjee had grown into the Bharatiya Janata Party, which he described as the world’s largest democratic political party. Moreover, he said the small seed planted through the Bharatiya Jana Sangh had grown into what he described as a mighty banyan tree in the form of the BJP.

Furthermore, Dattatreya urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from Mukherjee’s patriotism and sacrifice. BJP leaders Sai Krishna Yadav, M.C. Mohan, Kundinya Prasad, Shobha Thakur and several party workers attended the commemorative programme.
