Hyderabad: Representatives of the Shyam Prasad Nagar Welfare Association on Monday submitted a petition to Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, requesting allocation of 2BHK homes for slum dwellers in Baglingampally.
They stated that hundreds of families have been living in temporary huts on government land in Shyam Prasad Nagar for nearly 30 years. Despite repeated assurances from various public representatives over the years, no permanent housing has been provided.
The residents expressed deep disappointment, highlighting the hardships faced in the absence of government support. They urged the GHMC to construct double-bedroom homes either in Shyam Prasad Nagar itself or at another suitable location.
