Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy District Collector and District Election Officer C. Narayana Reddy on Saturday directed officials to carry out their duties responsibly. This is to ensure the Shadnagar municipal polls on February 11 are conducted peacefully and efficiently.
He issued the instructions while inspecting the nomination scrutiny process at the Shadnagar municipal office. He was accompanied by Election Observer Mayank Mittal. The inspection covered the scrutiny of nominations filed for the upcoming civic elections.
The Collector questioned election staff on the procedures being followed and urged them to ensure accuracy and avoid errors during the process. In addition, he also issued specific instructions to strengthen preparedness and coordination.
Shadnagar municipal polls readiness under tight official supervision
Collector Narayana Reddy reviewed the arrangements for election material, furniture, and stationery with Municipal Commissioner Sunitha Reddy. He personally inspected the nomination scrutiny proceedings, the strong room, and the counting hall.
He emphasised that no negligence would be tolerated and called on all officials and staff to work with full commitment. This, he said, was needed to ensure smooth elections.
Officials also briefed the Collector on the distribution arrangements for poll materials. They also informed him about the setup for vote counting scheduled on February 13.
Shadnagar RDO Saritha, Tahsildar Nagayya, Special Officer Ramarao, S. Harish, and other officials were present during the inspection.
