Shabbir Ali promises 2BHK house and aid for Shaik Riyaz’s family

Hyderabad: Congress leaders and social organisation heads from Nizamabad, led by Hafiz Mohammed Layeeq Khan, met Telangana Government Advisor for SC, ST, OBC and Minorities, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, at his Jubilee Hills residence. They submitted a memorandum requesting support for the family of Late Shaik Riyaz on humanitarian grounds.

Shaik Riyaz, a resident of Armoor in Nizamabad district, died in a police encounter on 20 October. His family includes his elderly mother Zareena Begum, wife Sanober Nazmeen, and two young children, Ruheena Sultana and Shaik Rehan. The memorandum said the family has no income, no permanent home, and faces severe financial distress.

Job support and housing under government schemes

After reviewing the appeal, Shabbir Ali promised to provide a 2BHK house to Riyaz’s widow under a government housing scheme. He said the process would move forward after discussing it with Incharge Minister D. Seethakka.

He also pledged to personally fund the education of Riyaz’s two children until Class 5. The children, now in Classes 2 and 3, will later be admitted to a TMREIS residential school for continued education.

Shabbir Ali said the government would explore job opportunities for Riyaz’s widow through TMREIS or another suitable institution. He will consult with Minister Seethakka and other authorities on the matter.

Calling the family’s situation urgent, Shabbir Ali assured full support to help them rebuild their lives and secure their future.
