Hyderabad: South Central Railway will operate 16 SCR special trains between Secunderabad and Kakinada Town during October to handle the expected festival rush.
The Secunderabad-Kakinada Town special train, numbered 07039, will operate on Wednesdays from October 7 to 25. Meanwhile, train number 07040 will run from Kakinada Town to Secunderabad on Thursdays from October 8 to 26.
The services will stop at Charlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Samalkot in both directions. The SCR special trains will have 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.
SCR special trains extended on Jalna-Yelahanka route
SCR also extended eight special train services to meet passenger demand. The Jalna-Yelahanka special, numbered 07601, will operate on Sundays from October 4 to 25. In the return direction, train number 07602 will run on Mondays from October 5 to 26.
These services will cover several key stations along the route. They include Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Secunderabad, Begumpet, Lingampally, Vikarabad, Raichur, Guntakal, Anantapur and Hindupur, among others. The extended trains will have 3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class coaches.
