Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) organised a mega camp at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad on Wednesday to help pensioners submit digital life certificates online and resolve their grievances. The programme formed part of the Nationwide Digital Life Campaign 5.0.
Principal Chief Personnel Officer Siddarth Kati attended the camp along with Chief Personnel Officer (Industrial Relations) S. Ramana Reddy. Personnel and Accounts department officials, railway pensioners’ association representatives, bank officials and retired employees also participated.
Addressing the gathering, Siddarth Kati said digital platforms would simplify the submission of life certificates. As a result, pensioners would be able to complete the process from their homes without visiting offices. He appreciated pensioners’ associations for bringing their concerns to the authorities.
The Principal Chief Personnel Officer also praised the Personnel and Accounts departments for ensuring the smooth implementation of the campaign.
Digital life certificates camps held across SCR divisions
Besides the Secunderabad programme, SCR organised similar camps in its Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded divisions. Workshops and other railway units also conducted the camps as part of the nationwide campaign.
A large number of pensioners attended the Rail Nilayam camp. They sought guidance on the online submission process and successfully generated their digital life certificates.
Railway officials also assured the participants that they would address their grievances promptly.
