Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Monday reviewed winter safety preparedness and operational readiness across the zone. He focused on strict safety enforcement, GPS-based field monitoring, and alertness by loco pilots, gatemen, and shunting staff.
Srivastava called for detailed analysis of safety incidents. He urged crews to stay vigilant to ensure smooth and accident-free winter operations.

As part of the review, Srivastava honoured 16 employees with “Employee of the Month – Safety Awards.” The awardees came from various safety-critical roles. These included train managers, loco pilots, pointsmen, and track maintainers. Each was recognised for their alertness and dedication to safety.
The General Manager praised their efforts and said the awards would inspire others to maintain high safety standards. He added that such recognition builds a strong safety culture across South Central Railway.
