SCR chief prioritises safety, punctuality in winter operations review

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Monday underscored the importance of safety and punctuality. This was during a winter operations review held at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.

Addressing senior officials, including Additional General Manager Satya Prakash and DRMs of all six SCR divisions via video conference, Srivastava emphasised that safety must remain a deeply ingrained culture. It should be integrated within operations.

He instructed officials to strictly follow safety protocols at yards, level crossings, and during shunting activities. He also called for full preparedness for foggy conditions. This includes deploying fog safety devices and maintaining a safety stock.
