Hyderabad: The SARAS Fair 2025 will open today, Friday, at Indira Mahila Shakti Bazaar in Madhapur, next to Shilparamam. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Seethakka will inaugurate the fair in the presence of MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy.
The exhibition will run until September 29, operating daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. with free entry for all visitors. Organisers expect revenue of ₹7–8 crore. Moreover, they said the sales will directly benefit the self-help group (SHG) women from across India.
SARAS Fair 2025 Hyderabad stalls, cultural shows and food festival
The fair will host 150 stalls, including handlooms, handicrafts, jewellery, food products and spices. Forty per cent of the stalls will showcase Telangana, while 60 per cent will highlight products from other states. In addition, organisers will dedicate a pavilion to crafts and culture from the North East.
Cultural programmes will feature Telangana folk songs, traditional dances and Golla Suddulu every day. A multi-cuisine food court will also serve Hyderabad biryani, Irani chai, haleem, sarva pindi and other regional favourites. Therefore, visitors can enjoy shopping, culture and food at the same venue.
Trainers will conduct workshops on branding, packaging, e-commerce, digital marketing and financial literacy. As a result, SHG women will learn modern tools to grow their businesses. Officials emphasised that the sessions will link entrepreneurship with long-term empowerment.
Organisers called the fair a national platform that connects rural women entrepreneurs with urban consumers. They also said the event will showcase traditional art and culture on a national stage.
