Hyderabad: A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation conductor attacked officials during an inspection in Sangareddy, leading to a criminal case and departmental action.
The RTC conductor attacks incident involved Devsoth Vasanth on the Zaheerabad–Narayankhed route on Friday morning. Officials said the incident occurred around 8:30 am during a routine inspection by the enforcement squad.
Inspectors found that the conductor had collected ₹20 from a passenger without issuing a ticket. Therefore, they attempted to issue a charge memo.

According to officials, the conductor created a disturbance when inspectors initiated action. He allegedly incited passengers and obstructed the inspection process.
During the altercation, he attacked the officials using his slipper. In addition, he snatched official records to disrupt proceedings.
Two officials sustained injuries in the incident. They were identified as In-charge TTI Peddadoddi Yesaiah and TTI V. Prakash.
RTC conductor attacks leads to legal action
Following the incident, officials lodged a complaint at Raikode Police Station. Police registered a case under Section 121(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Authorities said action would be taken against the conductor and others involved. The department also initiated internal proceedings.
Y. Nagireddy condemned the RTC conductor attacks and warned of strict action. He said authorities would not tolerate assaults on staff performing official duties.
He added that legal penalties were inevitable for those involved in such acts. He also urged employees to maintain discipline and ensure a cooperative work environment.
