Revanth Reddy says BRS collapsing under corruption, vows projects for Palamuru

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a strong attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Wednesday, accusing the party of disintegrating under the weight of corruption and internal conflict.

Revanth says BRS disintegrating amid internal strife

Speaking after inaugurating the second unit of SGD Pharma in Vemula, Mahbubnagar district, Revanth said BRS leaders had looted public funds and were now unable to tolerate each other. He dismissed recent comments by K. Kavitha linking him to disputes involving Harish Rao and Santosh Rao.

“Why would I back those rejected by the people? Don’t drag us into your internal fights,” he said. Revanth added that those who once jailed political opponents were now turning on one another, with even acid attacks reported. “Their sins will not disappear. They must face the consequences,” he warned.

CM pledges priority for Palamuru projects

Revanth accused former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao of neglecting the Kodangal–Narayanpet lift irrigation scheme. He said the Congress government had now revived it with ₹4,000 crore in tenders. However, he alleged that vested interests were trying to block it through petitions to the National Green Tribunal.

He noted that compensation for land acquisition had been raised from ₹11 lakh to ₹14 lakh per acre, but many farmers still found it inadequate. He asked MLAs to meet affected families and directed collectors to visit villages and prevent any losses to displaced farmers.

From “exhibition of poverty” to a model of growth

The Chief Minister said Atal Tinkering Centres would be set up in all 14 constituencies of the undivided Mahbubnagar district. Areas lacking such centres must send proposals, he added. He also promised a triple IT institution for the district.

Revanth recalled that earlier governments had brought foreign delegates to Palamuru only to show its poverty and drought. “Our poverty used to be on display. Now, I want the world to see our development,” he said.
