Ignore fake Jubilee Hills bypoll surveys, focus on ground: CM Revanth

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday dismissed pre-poll surveys related to the Jubilee Hills by-election as fake and misleading. He instructed Congress leaders to ignore them and intensify campaign efforts at the ground level.

Revanth made these remarks during a review meeting with ministers and Jubilee Hills bypoll in-charges, held at the CM’s camp office. He advised leaders not to be complacent despite the party’s strong local position. “Don’t trust fake surveys. Focus on your divisions and campaign with full strength,” he said.

During the lunch meet and strategy session, Revanth outlined key campaign approaches for the final stretch of the bypoll. He reportedly directed each in-charge to prioritise grassroots voter engagement over reacting to survey narratives.

A recent survey by political consultancy firm KK sparked political controversy after it showed an edge for the BRS in the Jubilee Hills segment. While the BRS claimed the survey reflected public sentiment, the Congress dismissed it as a fabricated report meant to mislead voters.

Congress files complaint against KK survey

Congress MLC Balmuri Venkat, accompanied by party workers, filed a formal complaint with the returning officer on Sunday, alleging that the KK survey aimed to influence voters before polling. Addressing reporters later, Venkat accused BRS of sponsoring manipulated surveys due to fear of electoral defeat.

He questioned BRS’s campaign tactics, stating that the party was resorting to “bogus surveys” instead of highlighting its past governance record. Venkat further claimed the survey lacked credibility and accused KK of releasing projections without any field data.

He recalled that KK’s predictions in previous elections, including Haryana and Delhi, had also been proven wrong. “Now too, they seem to have prepared the survey sitting indoors rather than consulting actual voters,” he said.
