Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Friday travelled by Metro Rail from Tarnaka to Jubilee Hills as part of the party’s austerity and fuel conservation initiative.
The Ramchander Rao Metro journey took place before a programme in Jubilee Hills. The move followed the “seven sutras” outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote economic self-reliance and reduce fuel consumption.
Accordingly, the BJP leadership asked Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states and party leaders to implement the measures across the country.
By choosing public transport, Ramchander Rao highlighted fuel conservation, financial savings and sustainable mobility. During the journey, he interacted with Metro passengers and urged them to support the Prime Minister’s seven-point initiative.
He also appealed to commuters to adopt responsible transport practices and contribute to national economic self-reliance.
