Hyderabad: Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy denied reports of quitting the party and dismissed ongoing speculation as politically motivated misinformation.
Speaking on Thursday, he said he would announce any political decision through a press meet and warned people against believing unverified claims on social media. “People from within and outside the party are spreading false news. I am a disciplined Congress worker and will act only according to the party leadership’s decisions,” he said.
Rajagopal Reddy visited tanks at Lakkaram and Choutuppal Municipality, where he performed Ganga Puja and reviewed flood prevention measures with local officials. He said officials had taken steps to ensure colonies would not flood if the tank at Choutuppal overflows.
He also announced a ₹500 crore development plan for Choutuppal Municipality. “We have already taken steps to protect Choutuppal lake and diverted floodwaters at Dandu Malkapuram and Lakkaram. These measures will shield the town from future flooding,” he said.
Reiterating his loyalty to the Congress, Rajagopal Reddy said, “My only focus is on Munugode’s development. Don’t believe negative posts circulating online.
