HYDERABAD: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stressed that it is vital for all Indians to remain united in order to effectively counter terrorism and defeat its objectives.
Speaking during his visit to Srinagar, Rahul Gandhi said that all opposition parties had unequivocally condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. He added that the Congress party would fully support any action the government decides to take in response to the attack.
During his visit, Rahul Gandhi met with the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Afterward, he also spoke with the victims of the terror attack.
Rahul Gandhi remarked that the goal of terrorists is to fragment society and create discord among brothers. He emphasised that standing together against terrorism is essential for India’s strength and integrity.
Expressing sorrow over attacks on individuals from different parts of the country, he called on citizens to remain united and resolute in driving out terrorism.
He confirmed that after his meetings with the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister, he had assured them of the Congress party’s complete support in the fight against terrorism.
