Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP and BC JAC leader R. Krishnaiah on Saturday urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to resolve student fee reimbursement dues without delay. He said the state’s financial problems were understandable, but education must come first.
In an interview with a news channel, Krishnaiah stressed that education remains the most vital need in any society. He criticised the government for prioritising pensions and other payments while ignoring students’ fee dues.
R. Krishnaiah: Congress ignored student fees for 23 months
He pointed out that the Congress government had completed 23 months in office. If it had cleared even part of the dues each month, colleges would not be under pressure, he said. Krishnaiah offered to guide the government if it sought help in finding a solution.
He added that fee backlogs go beyond finances they disrupt education. Students, he said, deserve uninterrupted learning and timely support.
