Hyderabad: To ensure a peaceful nomination process during the second phase of Siddipet municipal polls, the police have imposed strict prohibitory orders near key locations.
Police Commissioner S. Rashmi Perumal on Sunday announced the enforcement of Section 144 (BSS–2023) around all nomination centres in Husnabad, Cheriyal, Dubbak, and Gajwel municipalities.

The restrictions will apply from January 28 to 30, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. The order prohibits gatherings of five or more people within a 100-metre radius of nomination centres. It also bans carrying weapons like sticks, rods, stones, sickles, or axes near these areas.
Police will enforce these measures at Cheriyal Old Community Health Centre, municipal offices in Husnabad and Dubbak, and the IOC building in Gajwel. The Commissioner warned that anyone violating these rules will face legal action.
