President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Hyderabad on five-day visit

Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday for a five-day southern visit. She received a formal welcome at the Air Force Station, Hakimpet.

On arrival, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma received the President. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Seethakka were also present. Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy attended the reception.

Thereafter, officials confirmed that the President planned to stay at the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollarum. Her visit ran from December 17 to December 22 as part of the winter break.

President Droupadi Murmu Hyderabad visit includes official events

As part of the visit, President Murmu planned a trip to Ramoji Film City on December 19. On the same day, she planned to inaugurate the All India Public Service Commissioners’ National Conference at 11 am.

Meanwhile, on December 20, the President planned to attend a conference at Shanti Sarovar in Gachibowli. In view of the visit, authorities tightened security across Hyderabad.

Accordingly, police imposed restrictions on drone operations within Cyberabad limits. Authorities banned drones, paragliders, and remote-controlled microlight aircraft. The ban applied in Alwal and Gachibowli police station limits from December 17 to December 22.

Further, senior police officers issued orders under Section 163 of the BNSS. These officers enforced security restrictions during the President’s stay.
