Hyderabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the Bhu bharati scheme would play a key role in resolving land disputes and ensuring rightful ownership across villages. Speaking at a Bhu Bharati revenue conference held in Jangaon, Siddipet district, he said that help desks have been set up to address public issues and provide immediate assistance.
He explained that just as the Aadhaar card serves as a unique identification for individuals, a similar system is being introduced for land records. Under this initiative, digital mapping will be conducted and Bhudhaar cards will be issued to landowners.
Prabhakar said the primary aim of the Bhu Bharati scheme is to uphold the dignity and rights of rightful landholders. He announced that Eknapet mandal has been selected as a pilot model for implementing the scheme effectively.
The minister emphasised that land disputes can sometimes escalate into deadly confrontations, but with the Bhu Bharati system in place, such issues can be permanently resolved. He said the scheme would eliminate the scope for disputes at the village level and strengthen transparency in land management.
