Hyderabad: A POCSO case registered against a man followed a sexual assault complaint involving a 17-year-old girl in Peddapalli district. The girl, who was studying in Class 9, belonged to a village in Dharmaram mandal.
According to the source, the girl had been absent from school when her teachers visited her house. The girl’s father then asked why she had stopped attending school, prompting her to disclose the incident.
She reportedly told her father that a man from the village had given her money and sexually assaulted her. The man had allegedly lured the girl and taken her to his house.
The father subsequently informed village elders about the allegation. During the meeting, the accused reportedly confessed in the presence of the elders.
The source further stated that the accused left the place after biting the victim’s father’s feet. Police later received information about the incident and took the Wangmoo Lam from the victim.
POCSO case registered after complaint by father
Based on the complaint submitted by the girl’s father, police registered a POCSO case registered against the accused. The authorities also took the girl to a hospital for a medical examination.
