Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday expressed strong confidence that the party would dominate the upcoming Hyderabad corporation polls, declaring that the “pink flag will fly” irrespective of how many corporations are formed in the city.
He made the remarks at Telangana Bhavan while welcoming Serilingampalli youth leader Vijay Kumar Reddy and his supporters into the party. KTR said the party’s strength rested firmly on its cadre and grassroots activists. According to him, Serilingampalli had emerged as the strongest BRS base in Hyderabad. He predicted that the party would secure all 24 divisions in the constituency during the Hyderabad corporation polls.
Preparations intensify for Hyderabad corporation polls
KTR said the party would soon hold division-wise meetings to strengthen its strategy for the Hyderabad corporation polls. He added that organisational coordination at the local level would play a decisive role in the elections.
At the same time, he criticised the ruling Congress for what he described as “false promises.” He also accused the BJP of failing Telangana over the past decade. Furthermore, he raised concerns over the law and order situation in the State. He alleged that crime had increased and business confidence had declined under the current government.
KTR urged voters, especially women, to take informed decisions in the forthcoming Hyderabad corporation polls. He said the electorate should assess performance and credibility before casting their votes.
Former ministers and party MLAs Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Jagadish Reddy, along with other party leaders, were present at the event.
