Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar today inaugurated a new Passport Seva Kendra at the MGBS Metro Station in Hyderabad. The centre started serving the public immediately after the launch.
Passport services shift to new locations
The minister said Hyderabad now ranks fifth in India for issuing passports. He also announced that Telangana has five Passport Seva Kendras.
Officials moved the centre from Aditya Trade Centre in Ameerpet to the MGBS Metro Station. They also relocated the Tolichowki Passport Seva Kendra from Anand Silicon Chip to Siri Building on Old Mumbai Road in Raidurgam. Both centres began operations today.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, MLC Mirza Riyaz Ul Hasan Effendi, Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalakshmi, Joint Secretary for Passports K.J. Srinivasulu, and Hyderabad Collector Dasari Harichandan attended the inauguration.
