Passenger dies after falling between train and platform at Secunderabad railway station

HYDERABAD: A tragic accident occurred at Secunderabad railway station when a man lost his life after slipping between a moving train and the platform while trying to board.

The victim, identified as 30-year-old Pawan Kumar from Jharkhand, was waiting on platform number 8 for the Danapur Express. As the train arrived, he attempted to board while it was still in motion. However, he lost his balance and fell into the gap between the train and the platform.

Witnesses reported that the man was dragged a short distance by the train before alert passengers, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and railway staff acted quickly to halt the train and begin a rescue operation.

Pawan Kumar was rushed to Gandhi Hospital with serious injuries, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP) has launched an investigation into the incident.
