NUkler Products submits EoI for ₹6,000 crore SMR project in Telangana

Hyderabad: NUkler Products, a joint venture backed by Slovakia’s IQ Capital and India’s Green House Enviro, has submitted an Expression of Interest (EoI) to develop a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project in Telangana with a proposed investment of ₹6,000 crore. Notably, this marks the first time NUkler submits EoI for such a large-scale SMR project in the region.

The proposed clean energy project aims to install up to 300 MW of SMR capacity. The EoI was presented during a high-level meeting with the Telangana government’s ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, where NUkler submits EoI for consideration.

Dr. Jan Babic, Group Chairman of IQ Capital; Anil Kumar Bavissetty, Group CEO and Director of IQ Capital; and Molugu Sripal Reddy, CEO and Director of Green House Enviro, represented NUkler Products in the meeting. The fact that NUkler submits EoI highlights the growing interest in advanced nuclear technologies for India’s clean energy future.

Matus Gemes, Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic to the Principality of Liechtenstein, also participated in the discussions.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the state is committed to attracting clean and advanced energy infrastructure investments. “Sustainability is a central pillar to Telangana’s pursuit of a Net-Zero development target by 2047,” he said. Furthermore, it is expected that as NUkler submits EoI for this project, similar initiatives may follow in other Indian states.

Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy also attended the meeting.
