Hyderabad: Telangana’s newly appointed ministers began their Cabinet journey on Tuesday by calling on key leaders to seek blessings and guidance for their roles. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha extended a warm welcome to the fresh faces, urging them to carry forward the party’s commitment to welfare and social justice.
Ministers Vakiti Srihari and Adluri Laxman Kumar, accompanied by newly appointed Deputy Speaker Ramachandra Nayak, met Bhatti Vikramarka at Praja Bhavan. The Deputy CM congratulated them on their appointments and stressed the importance of working collectively to deliver on the promises made to the people. “Every responsibility is shared,” he said. “Let’s remember that our priority is to serve the people with dedication and integrity.”

Later in the day, Minister Laxman Kumar also visited Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha at his residence. Damodar extended his best wishes to the new minister, reminding him that the Congress party’s legacy rests on the pillars of social equity and progressive governance. He urged the new ministers to make the most of the opportunity and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
“Congress has always championed social justice,” Damodar said, highlighting the government’s recent measures including the classification of Scheduled Castes, the push for a caste census, enhanced BC reservations, and the inclusion of four Scheduled Caste leaders in the state Cabinet. He also noted the appointment of a Scheduled Caste leader as Assembly Speaker, describing it as a reflection of the party’s unwavering commitment to social inclusion.
Both Bhatti Vikramarka and Damodar Rajanarsimha underscored that the Congress government stands firm on its promise to build an equitable, welfare-oriented, and inclusive Telangana. They encouraged the new ministers to carry that vision forward with dedication.
