Hyderabad: Municipal election results reflected strong public endorsement of two years of people-centric governance under the Congress-led Telangana government, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Friday.

In a press statement issued here, Sridhar Babu described the Municipal election results as more than an electoral victory. He said the outcome reaffirmed the people’s trust in Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership. According to him, the verdict validated the government’s dual focus on stabilising state finances and delivering welfare and development programmes at the grassroots level.

“The people have recognised our efforts to restore economic stability and deliver accountable and transparent governance,” he said.

Municipal election results reaffirm trust in leadership

The Minister stated that the Municipal election results demonstrated that voters supported the administration’s approach. He said the government had worked to restore economic stability while continuing welfare initiatives. At the same time, it ensured development programmes reached beneficiaries across the State.

Moreover, he asserted that the mandate brought greater responsibility to the ruling party. Sridhar Babu assured that all promises made to the electorate would be implemented in a phased and systematic manner. He maintained that the government would continue to prioritise transparency and accountability in governance.

Thanking voters for their support, he said they had rejected what he termed “misleading propaganda” during the campaign. He also acknowledged the guidance of AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud.

In addition, the Minister credited party leaders and workers for their contribution to the victory. He said their coordinated efforts had helped secure the mandate reflected in the Municipal election results.
