Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin was sworn in as a Telangana State Minister on Friday. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma administered the oath of office and secrecy to him at the Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka attended the ceremony.
Cabinet ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy were also present. Senior government advisors, Chief Secretary A. Ramakrishna Rao, DGP Jitender, MLAs, and MLCs participated in the swearing-in.

The ceremony began at 12:25 p.m. and concluded within nine minutes. Following the oath, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and other ministers congratulated Mohammad Azharuddin on joining the State Cabinet.
