HYDERABAD: Former minister Malla Reddy said that he would contest from Malkajgiri parliamentary seat if simultaneous elections are conducted in the country. He was interacting with media in the backdrop of his recent meeting with the chief minister Revanth Reddy.
Stating that the discussion focused on district development works and matters related to medical and engineering seats. He questioned, “What’s wrong in meeting the CM to complete pending works in the constituency?” At 72 years old, he dismissed speculations about switching parties, remarking, “Why would I change parties at this age?” He also took a jab at those who have joined the Congress, suggesting they are currently facing many troubles. Highlighting his family’s political involvement, he humorously noted that four members from his family are ready to contest from the BRS party. Significantly, he stated that if simultaneous (Jamili) elections are held, he would definitely contest as a Member of Parliament.
