Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha on Friday directed officials to complete construction and commissioning of four key Telangana hospitals by year-end, in line with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s orders.
During a review meeting with senior officials from the Health and Roads & Buildings departments, Rajanarsimha assessed progress at TIMS hospitals in Sanathnagar, Alwal, and Kothapet, as well as the upcoming multi-super-speciality hospital in Warangal.
He instructed authorities to strictly stick to deadlines, streamline coordination, and ensure the facilities are ready with full medical services on day one of operations. He stressed that no delays would be acceptable in delivering functional public hospitals.
The minister also directed procurement of advanced medical equipment for all four hospitals, advising officials to consult specialist doctors and technical experts before finalising purchases to guarantee quality.
He reiterated that staffing plans should be firmed up well in advance to avoid last-minute shortages, so patients would benefit from seamless services once the hospitals open.
