Hyderabad: AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan has called on Congress leaders to take an active role in highlighting the Telangana government’s welfare schemes, ensuring that their benefits reach the grassroots level.
Addressing separate review meetings for the Warangal and Mahabubnagar Parliament constituencies at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Natarajan, accompanied by TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, urged leaders to bridge the gap between the party and the public.
“It’s important that both leaders and cadres work hand-in-hand to communicate government initiatives effectively,” she said. “We need to ensure that the people see the positive impact of these schemes.”
Natarajan stressed the need for collaboration among leaders at all levels, calling for coordination between senior and junior members to strengthen the party’s base.
TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud acknowledged the delay in forming the committee, which had left some members disappointed. He assured that appropriate positions would be finalised soon.
He also urged MLAs to introspect on their performance over the past 17 months, cautioning that the party’s disappointing results in recent local elections could pose challenges if not addressed.
