Mallu Ravi hails Revanth Reddy governance as model of social reform

Hyderabad: Congress MP Mallu Ravi on Sunday described Revanth Reddy governance as a model of social transformation, crediting the Telangana Chief Minister for implementing inclusive and reform-oriented policies in line with the party’s national vision.

Speaking in Nagar Kurnool, the senior leader said Revanth Reddy had proven himself both a “social doctor” and a “revolutionary” by executing developmental initiatives that promote justice across castes and communities. He cited Reddy’s commitment to BC reservations, legal and administrative actions, and social equity in Vice-Chancellor appointments, including the selection of a Dalit VC at Osmania University after 100 years.

Congress legacy cited as foundation for current reforms

Ravi drew connections between Revanth Reddy’s administration and the legacy of past Congress governments—from Nehru to Manmohan Singh—highlighting landmark schemes like poverty eradication, land distribution, economic reforms, and direct funding to Panchayats. He also referred to Rahul Gandhi’s pan-India padyatra and his pledge to ensure proportional representation in government benefits based on caste data.

He added that in just two years, the Revanth Reddy government had introduced socially revolutionary measures in education, sports, welfare, and development sectors. Echoing a public health analogy, he remarked, “If poverty is a disease, politics is the medicine,” framing Revanth Reddy governance as a remedy rooted in political reform. Telangana, he said, hopes for his leadership to flourish for a hundred years.
