Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, leading a memorial gathering at Gandhi Bhavan to mark his death anniversary. Goud, along with party members, offered floral tributes before a portrait of the late leader in a quiet moment of reflection.
As part of the day’s events, Goud also launched a blood donation camp organised by the Youth Congress. The initiative, spearheaded by Youth Congress state president Shiva Charan Reddy, aimed to honour Gandhi’s memory through acts of public service.
Several Congress leaders, party workers, and young volunteers took part in the donation drive. Goud lauded the turnout and the intent behind the effort, saying it embodied the principles Rajiv Gandhi stood for especially his emphasis on youth participation, civic responsibility, and inclusive nation-building.
